Conductive Coating – ESD

RXCOAT-CC Series is a conductive powder coating that can be used where sensitive electronic devices need to be protected against sudden electrostatic discharge. Conductive coatings dissipate the static charge that may occur on surfaces. This will protect electronic materials during use.

What is ESD and which materials are suitable for dissipating static electricity?

ESD (Electro Static Discharge) is caused by electric charge transitions between two objects with different voltage potentials. This exchange of electrons leads to the accumulation of a large electromagnetic field. This can be very harmful for electronic devices sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Grounding is essential to prevent ESD. Everything in the work area must be connected to the grounding system.

Technical Details

Conductive materials such as steel surface cannot be used as static safe surface. Because sudden and fast discharge will cause more damage to electronic devices. Therefore, static dissipative materials (dissipative) should be used to ensure a slow and safer discharge.
Recommended surface resistance range should be
CONDUCTIVE :104-106Ω/sq  (Resistivity)
ESD:106-109  Ω/sq (Resistivity)

CC series use for all type of colors(wide range color ) and surfaces (Ultra smooth , texture , wrinkle )
